Uncle Nearest Whisky Did $100 Million In Sales Thanks To Black Women Leadership

Published:

Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey announced that its sales exceeded $100 million through October 2022, with an on-track forecast to more than double that total by the end of 2023.

The company was founded by its CEO Fawn Weaver in 2017. She was then joined by Chief Business Officer Katharine Jerkens and, shortly after, Victoria Eady Butler, the great-great-granddaughter of the company’s namesake, Nearest Green.

Last year, Uncle Nearest announced it had become the best-selling Black American-founded, owned, and led spirit brand in U.S. history.

Fawn Weaver is making history in the bourbon market with her premium Whiskey brand Uncle Nearest. Since launching in 2017, Uncle Nearest has become a hot commodity in the bourbon industry for its bold, sweet and spicy flavor combinations.

Selling over five million bottles thus far, Weaver recently announced that she and her team beat sales expectations for the month of October. The buzzing whisky brand generated over $100 million in sales for the month and is projected to double that number by the end of 2023, according to Because Of Them We Can.
