Published:

TikTok has announced 2025 SOAR Together, a Black-owned business accelerator program in collaboration with Black Girl Ventures. The program aims to help Black businesses grow on TikTok Shop.

What is the 2025 SOAR Together program?

The 2025 Soar Together program is a six-week program in which 20 businesses will be chosen to receive educational courses, business coaching, and mentorship from guest speakers. After the program has finished, those businesses will attend a special in-person graduation ceremony.

TikTok’s partnership with Black Girl Ventures builds on its $1 million investment in the organization last year. Founded in 2016 by Omi Bell, a serial entrepreneur and computer scientist, Black Girl Ventures focuses on increasing access to capital for Black and brown women entrepreneurs.

What else is TikTok during Black History Month?

TikTok Shop will feature a limited #ShopBlackOwned campaign to highlight Black-owned brands and creators, allowing them to gain more recognition and customers. The #ShopBlackOwned series will include live-stream shopping sessions showcasing Black-owned brands, product highlights in the TikTok shop tap, and a documentary-like showcase that will expose success stories from small and medium-sized Black businesses

Additionally, TikTok’s internal employee resource group (ERG) BLXCK will maintain its position of supporting Black excellence and self-empowerment with special sessions focusing on mindfulness and in-office celebrations that champion the Black diaspora.
