This New Inclusive AI Tool Is Designed With Neurodivergent And Hearing-Impaired Users In Mind

Published:

Los Angeles-based tech startup See Computing is introducing Speakimage.ai, an AI-powered tool designed to make communication more inclusive and accessible.

Unlike most GPTs which prioritize text, Speakimage.ai generates text, images, and video from a single input, revolutionizing communication for visual thinkers, the hearing-impaired community, and neurodivergent people.

A Groundbreaking Tool for Inclusive Communication

What sets Speakimage.ai apart is its holistic approach to communication. Set to launch on October 1, 2024, Speakimage.ai caters to the specific needs of different cognitive and sensory styles.

Whether it’s creating vivid images for visual thinkers, captioned videos for the hearing-impaired community, or tailored outputs for neurodivergent individuals, Speakimage.ai covers the spectrum of how people process information.

“Our goal for Speakimage.ai is simple: greater access,” said Karmel Graham, Founder of See Computing, in a press release.

“Thirty percent of individuals are image-only thinkers, while 45% process thoughts using a combination of images and words. With Speakimage.ai, we’re not just translating words; we’re translating thoughts into multiple formats.”

A Commitment to Accessibility

Graham, a seasoned product manager who has worked at companies like Microsoft and Walt Disney, was inspired by her career in tech to develop products that offer enhanced accessibility.

Under her leadership, See Computing is not only launching Speakimage.ai but also developing innovative solutions like a robotic seeing-eye dog.

“The idea of using artificial intelligence to create products that added ease to my own life was appealing,” Graham wrote on LinkedIn, “but not as pressing as applying this technology to better the lives of those with disabilities, such as my daughter who is hearing impaired, or others who are neurodivergent.”

Graham’s dedication to creating accessible technology is rooted in her understanding that traditional communication methods often leave people feeling isolated.

Speakimage.ai is a step toward bridging this gap and creating a world where thoughts are universally understood, regardless of how they are expressed.
