The Gathering Spot (TGS) co-founders Ryan Wilson and TK Petersen have announced an expansion of the platform, marking a new chapter in their journey.
TGS is Atlanta’s Black-founded and centered private membership club that recently became independent after being acquired by Greenwood in May 2022.
Over the years, TGS has become a cultural epicenter, hosting figures such as President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Their influence also went beyond politics as brands such as Nike, Amazon, and Google and celebrities like LeBron James and Tyler Perry began to show their support.
The Gathering Spot Comes To Texas
However, as they celebrated their eigth anniversary at Gather Weekend, they unveiled their fourth physical location in Houston, Texas.
This adds to their network of clubs in Atlanta, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles.
“Our anniversary is not just about marking time; it’s about celebrating the spirit of our community,” said Wilson in a press release.
“The new club location is a beacon of our growing legacy and our promise to continue creating space and opportunities that inform, empower, and support our communities.”
New mobile app
Alongside the expansion, TGS will enhance the member experience by launching its mobile app at the end of March.
The digital extension aims to offer integration for members across all markets, ensuring that the essence of TGS – culture, community, and collaboration – is accessible easily.
“These opportunities reflect the exciting times ahead for The Gathering Spot and are a testament to the vibrant future we envision as we continue to build and innovate for our community,” Peterson added.
