Pharrell Williams’s Black Ambition Launches 10-Week Initiative To Support Founders In Florida

Published:

Black Ambition, the national initiative founded by Pharrell Williams, has announced the launch of a 10-week virtual program to support entrepreneurs in Florida. The Fundable Founders Learning Lab is part of a two-year initiative aimed at helping 500 Florida-based entrepreneurs, according to a press release.

The initiative, which is backed by a $1 million investment from an anonymous donor, includes mentorship, expert training, and access to capital and networks that will help program participants grow their businesses.

“This $1 million donation is more than just funding—it’s fuel for a new generation of fundable founders building bold, innovative solutions right here in Florida,” Felecia Hatcher, CEO of Black Ambition, says.

What is Black Ambition?

Black Ambition was founded by Williams in 2020 to support Black and Latinx business owners. The non-profit organization aims to bridge the gap to success for entrepreneurs of color working in tech, design, healthcare, and service startups.

The non-profit has awarded nearly $13 million in growth capital to 131 entrepreneurs and helped its network raise more than $280 million since its inception. Fifteen founders in Florida have already secured funding, and this new initiative aims to make a greater impact over the next two years.

What does the program include?

The initiative launches in Spring, and founders in the programme will receive:

  • 10 Weeks of Expert-Led Virtual Sessions focuses on marketing, capital strategy, partnership, and customer development.
  • Coaching and Mentorship from highly successful entrepreneurs and operators
  • Direct Pathways to Capital through curated networking and investor opportunities
  • Exclusive Access to the Black Ambition Network for ongoing support, events, and funding opportunities

The initiative will end with a So Ambitious Dinner in Miami, where founders will meet investors, retailers, and strategic partners.

The non-profit is working with Codner & Co. and ACT House to deliver this program. E-commerce juggernaut Codner & Co. has supported over 10,000 founders in building brands that generate more than $96 million in annual revenue. ACT House, a certified B-Corp, is transforming the way diverse founders discover their entrepreneurial identity and build purpose-driven teams.

Applications are now open and will close on April 30, 2025. The program is fully remote and open to Florida-based entrepreneurs.
