Latinas & Power Corp. has announced the launch and expansion of the Latinas in Leadership Institute (LiLi), an initiative to empower Latina professionals and entrepreneurs across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and beyond.
The six-month virtual leadership and advocacy certificate program is tailored for Latina professionals and community leaders in their early to mid-career stages.
Empowering Through Diversity and Inclusion
LiLi stands out by integrating participants from diverse sectors, including private, academic, government, and non-profit grassroots organizations.
This approach fosters a rich exchange of perspectives and ideas, enhancing the learning experience and contributing to the personal and professional growth of the participants.
The program’s first cohort will be celebrated at the 21st annual Latinas & Power Symposium on May 30, 2024, at the CT Convention Center.
Building Futures and Strengthening Communities
The institute equips emerging Latina leaders with essential skills and promotes an inclusive culture by addressing the urgent need to close the Latina Leadership Gap in the U.S.
This is achieved through a capstone project where participants develop reports on critical issues such as financial literacy, disparities in education, and health equity.
With backing from institutions like Voya Financial, Liberty Bank Foundation, and various other supporters, Latinas & Power Corp. is set to launch its next cohort in May 2024.
