Three-time Grammy Award winner Megan Thee Stallion is suing YouTuber and social media personality Milagro Gramz, alleging cyberbullying and false claims surrounding the high-profile shooting case involving Megan and rapper Tory Lanez.
According to Billboard, the lawsuit, filed by Megan’s legal team on Wednesday, accuses Gramz of being a “mouthpiece and puppet” for Lanez.
Megan’s legal counsel, the firm Quinn Emanuel, is demanding an end to what they call a “campaign of harassment.”
Accusations of Spreading Misinformation and Invasion of Privacy
According to the lawsuit, Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, launched a “public campaign” of targeted falsehoods against Megan.
These included accusations that Megan falsified aspects of the criminal case, questioned the severity of her injuries, and most controversially, promoted a pornographic “deepfake” video of the rapper.
Such content, Megan’s lawyers claim, is not only misleading but violates a Florida statute prohibiting the distribution of “altered sexual depictions” without consent.
Gramz’s statements also allegedly suggested that the firearm used in the incident had mysteriously “disappeared,” despite the Los Angeles Police Department confirming it remains in custody.
A Public Fight for Accountability
The lawsuit arrives just days after a false rumor circulated online, suggesting an appeals court had “declared Lanez innocent,” a claim Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, was quick to dismiss, warning of legal consequences for such “nonsense.”
On social media, Gramz acknowledged the lawsuit but downplayed the allegations, mentioning she would be discussing the matter on her platform.
In a statement to Billboard , Megan highlighted that this case serves as a broader warning to those who spread misinformation about her.
“I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists,” she stated.
“It’s time to hold bloggers accountable.”
Tory Lanez Conviction and Background
Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, was convicted in December 2022 on three felony counts for the July 2020 incident where he shot at Megan’s feet during an argument.
The event took place after a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s home in the Hollywood Hills and resulted in Lanez receiving a 10-year prison sentence. His appeal remains pending.
