Meet The Founder Helping Black-Owned Businesses Thrive Online

Published:

Since 2016, JaMichael Mitchell’s digital marketing agency, EraBright, has been helping Black-owned businesses succeed in a competitive digital landscape.

With a mission rooted in cultural understanding, EraBright provides tailored strategies—like SEO, social media marketing, and targeted ads—to help Black businesses reach the right audiences and grow sustainably.

From Corporate Marketer to Black Business Advocate

Mitchell’s experience spans over a decade in digital marketing, beginning with roles at top national agencies and campaigns for high-profile brands.

With degrees from Fayetteville State University and Full Sail University, and certifications in Google Analytics, Ads, and HubSpot, Mitchell was well-prepared for the digital marketing world.

Yet he saw a clear gap in how traditional agencies addressed the unique challenges Black-owned businesses face.

“Many agencies don’t consider the specific needs of Black-owned brands,” says Mitchell in a press release.

In response, he created EraBright to empower Black businesses with campaigns designed to resonate authentically with their communities.

Specialized Strategies for Black-Owned Business Success

Since its founding, EraBright has supported over 200 Black-owned businesses, ranging from startups to local and national companies.

With a focus on strategies like search engine optimization, social media marketing, and targeted digital advertising, EraBright helps clients increase brand visibility, generate leads, and foster meaningful connections.

EraBright Academy: Equipping DIY Entrepreneurs

Recognizing the growing trend of DIY digital marketing, Mitchell launched EraBright Academy to offer courses and webinars for Black entrepreneurs looking to gain hands-on marketing skills.

This platform allows business owners to learn essential strategies and tools, enabling them to independently manage their online presence and grow.
