Kat Cenat Breaks Twitch Subscriber Record With 30-Day Livestream

Published:

Streamer Kai Cenat has set a new record on Twitch, hitting nearly 727,700 subscribers during his month-long “Mafiathon 2” event in November.

The marathon livestream also generated over $3 million in revenue, making it one of the most successful streaming events ever on the platform.

A Record-Breaking Subathon

Cenat, 22, streamed nonstop for 30 days, with each new subscription extending the duration of the broadcast.

The event not only shattered Twitch’s previous subscriber record of 326,250, held by virtual streamer Ironmouse, but also drew 50 million unique viewers throughout the month.

Subscribers paid $4.99 for perks such as ad-free viewing and exclusive chats, and while Twitch takes a 30-50% cut, Cenat’s earnings from the event are estimated at around $3.6 million.

“I love y’all so much. Without y’all, I am nothing,” Cenat said, wrapping up the stream from his Los Angeles mansion.

Celebrity Guests and Global Impact

Cenat kept audiences entertained with celebrity appearances from figures like Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, Serena Williams, Lizzo, and SZA. His team ensured the stream continued uninterrupted, even while Cenat slept or stepped away.

The streamer also announced he will donate 20% of his subscription revenue to build a school in Makoko, Nigeria, according to CNBC.

“We will be going out of pocket funding this entire project with full staff, classrooms, uniforms, etc.,” he shared on Instagram, citing a life-changing visit to the country.

With over 15.4 million followers on Twitch, Cenat is now the platform’s biggest star
