Hip-Hop Legend RAKIM Creates New Fintech Platform To Help Artists Gain Financial Stability

Legendary hip-hop MC RAKIM is entering fintech with his new platform, Notes. The artist created a platform with the hope of helping artists capitalize on their creative projects and gain financial independence.

Recognized by many as one of the greatest MCs of all time, RAKIM rose to fame as one-half of the rap duo Eric B. and Rakim. Now, he has launched an AI-powered platform as a one-stop shop for music, money, and knowledge for artists and creators.

“Independent urban music artists and creators often struggle to gain financial stability despite their market impact,” RAKIM said in a press release.

Blending Fintech with Hip-Hop

Notes provides users with cultural relevance and hands-on solutions, allowing musicians and creators to reconceptualize financial freedom and career empowerment. The app will have educational content tailored to entrepreneurship, connections to loan and credit providers for access to capital, membership-focused access, and a special Ask RA” voice assistant with the likeness of RAKIM.

It will also offer users business banking and debit cards, P2P payment services, and cryptocurrency solutions.

“With Notes, we’re building a community- and lifestyle-driven platform that combines cultural connection, technology, and empowerment to give them the tools they need to thrive,” RAKIM added.

Empowering musicians

RAKIM is working with DIVINE, a platform that combines years of expertise knoweledge in urban music and culture, empowering thet next generations of muscians.
