Meet Sashe Ivy, the creator of Pink Hard Hatz Construction, a Black woman-owned business with a Chicago location that wants to break down boundaries in the male-dominated construction sector while giving all of its clients the best possible service.

Ivy claimed that in her 15 years of experience in the building and real estate sectors, she had frequently only observed men working in the field.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that surveys reveal that women make up just under 11% of construction employees.

Ivy made the decision to act at that point and bring about the change. “In a meeting, I was seated. Contractors were exclusively men once more.

I also considered how women could accomplish this “Ivy spoke with ABC 7 News.

Ivy then founded her own full-service, bonded construction company called Pink Hard Hatz Construction.

She makes sure she is hands-on in every project and that she personally oversees the job from start to finish.

Currently, Pink Hard Hatz is the largest female minority construction company in Chicago.
