As we acknowledge the role these businesses play we have highlighted platforms that make it easier for consumers to discover and support Black-owned businesses. 

Here are some of the top Black business marketplaces and directories you should know about.

WeBuyBlack

WeBuyBlack is the largest online marketplace for Black-owned businesses, offering a wide range of products from clothing to home essentials. Founded by Sharif Rasheed, this platform is often referred to as the “Amazon for Black businesses,” making it easy to find everything from handmade soaps to luxury goods—all while supporting Black entrepreneurs.

Official Black Wall Street

Official Black Wall Street is a resource for discovering Black-owned businesses across the globe. Founded by Mandy Bowman, the directory not only lists businesses but also offers a mobile app that alerts users when they are near a Black-owned business. 

The Black Mall

The Black Mall is a Chicago-based marketplace and directory that brings together hundreds of Black-owned businesses. Founded by KJ Kearney, this platform focuses on promoting economic empowerment through Black-owned enterprises, offering everything from fashion to food. The Black Mall also hosts events that spotlight Black culture and entrepreneurship.

Shoppe Black

Shoppe Black is a dynamic media and commerce platform that showcases Black-owned businesses worldwide. Founded by husband-and-wife team Tony and Shantrelle Hall, it serves as both a marketplace and a cultural hub, featuring interviews, stories, and profiles that celebrate Black entrepreneurship.

Support Black Owned

Support Black Owned (SBO) is a comprehensive directory that makes it easy to locate Black-owned businesses in your area or online. The platform features a wide array of categories, from automotive services to beauty products. SBO’s mission is to promote economic growth within Black communities by encouraging everyone to “Buy Black.”

Blk + Grn

Blk + Grn is a curated marketplace specifically for Black artisans who create natural products. Founded by Dr. Kristian Henderson, this platform focuses on health and wellness, offering a selection of eco-friendly and organic products made by Black-owned brands. From skincare to household items, Blk + Grn promotes a healthy lifestyle while supporting Black businesses.

Buy from a Black Woman

Buy from a Black Woman is a movement dedicated to empowering Black women entrepreneurs. Founded by Nikki Porcher, this platform offers a directory, grants, and educational resources designed to support and uplift Black women in business. It’s an reliable resource for anyone looking to support businesses run by Black women.
