Starting this September, Apple TV is being made available in 40 additional African countries, including Kenya, Nigeria, and Ghana.
The streaming service is now included in Apple’s updated iCloud+ subscription, which provides Apple TV, Apple Arcade, Apple Music Select, as well as its cloud-based storage.
This is part of a wider rollout plan in which Apple is expanding Apple TV to 59 new countries globally, bringing total availability to 170 countries.

All-in-one Subscription
In Apple’s latest move, the company has combined several of its services into one iCloud+ subscription. Paid iCloud+ subscribers now get Apple TV, Apple Arcade, and Apple Music Select automatically added at no extra cost. Standalone subscriptions to Apple TV or Apple Arcade will be cancelled. However, users can keep watching or playing by seamlessly transitioning directly to the iCloud+ plan. The model supports Family Sharing for up to five family members.
“iCloud+ users can now securely store and share personal content across their devices, enjoy the absolute best in original storytelling from Apple TV, and explore an incredible lineup of hundreds of games through Apple Arcade,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services and Health.
Apple Arcade is an award-winning subscription service offering a catalogue of over 200 games. Users gain access to a library of legacy franchises like NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition, Madden NFL 27 Arcade Edition, and Football Manager 26 Touch. It also includes cult classics such as Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Subway Surfers+, and Ultimate 8 Ball Pool+.
Apple Music Select is a modified version of the company’s music streaming platform. With an iCloud+ subscription, users can access a collection of ad-free stations offering a range of regionally relevant playlists to enjoy, such as Top Songs, 80s, 90s, and more.
The lowest tier of iCloud+ costs $0.99, roughly ₦1,300 or KSh 128 for 50GB of storage. Next, Apple offers 200GB, 2TB, 6TB, and 12TB. Full pricing varies by country.

Apple TV
The most valuable product in the package has to be Apple TV. Apple says Apple TV has premiered more original hits and received more awards and recognition than any other streaming service. Since 2019, Apple Original films, documentaries, and series have been acknowledged with over 900 wins and more than 3,800 award nominations. Notable titles include Apple’s most-viewed drama, Pluribus; Academy Award Best Picture winner, CODA; and Academy Award winner F1, the highest-grossing sports feature of all time.

40 African countries now have access to Apple TV’s titles through iCloud+. This includes Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Senegal, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Liberia, Morocco, Mozambique, and Namibia, among others.
While many companies offer separate subscriptions for different products, Apple is turning that model on its head. By combining all these services into one, Apple has created a more valuable subscription for users in Africa to enjoy.
