ImpactTulsa Gets $3.6M To Gear Up 15,000 Youth For Economic Success By 2030

Published:

ImpactTulsa has secured a $3.6 million investment from StriveTogether, a national initiative focused on youth development, to place 15,000 more Tulsa youth on a path toward economic success by 2030.

Empowering Tusla’s Youth

ImpactTulsa was one of six organizations selected to receive this investment, which aims to support 4 million young people by 2030.

A member of the StriveTogether Cradle to Career Network, ImpactTulsa is focused on bridging opportunity gaps, helping students pursue higher education, and facilitating lasting economic mobility.

Their youth initiatives include student financial resources, a youth council empowering the next generation of leaders, and My Brother’s Keeper, which builds safe and supportive communities for boys and young men of color.

The $3.6 million investment supports their mission to ensure that every child in Tulsa, regardless of race, zip code, or socioeconomic status, has the opportunity to thrive in school and life.

Working with community partners

Over the coming months, ImpactTulsa will work with local partners to launch community-focused strategies, setting measurable targets to guide efforts in increasing economic mobility.

“Since April 2014, we have been working with our community partners to drive equitable outcomes in the Tulsa community,” ImpactTulsa Executive Director Ashley Phillipsen told The Black Wall Street Times.

“We are excited about the opportunity this investment will enable as we work to shift the policies, practices, resources, and power to support Tulsa youth.”
