Court Documents Show Diddy Invested In X Corp

Published:

In a revelation, Sean “Diddy” Combs has been identified as one of the investors in X Corp, the company owned by Elon Musk that acquired the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

The disclosure came as part of a federal court ruling, unsealing a list of shareholders connected to Musk’s $44 billion purchase of the platform in 2022.

Court Order Unseals X Corp’s Investors

The court-ordered disclosure revealed nearly 100 investors, including high-profile names like Bill Ackman, Larry Ellison, and Marc Andreessen.

Among them, Sean Combs Capital, one of the many business entities linked to the hip-hop mogul, was listed as a stakeholder.

The document did not specify the amount Combs invested in X Corp, but his involvement adds another layer to his diverse business portfolio, which spans music, fashion, and media.

The court unsealed the list following a lawsuit from former Twitter employees who accused Musk of violating their arbitration agreements.

The case, which Musk tried to move to a federal court in California, resulted in a judge ruling that there was no “scandalous information or trade secrets” in the disclosure, compelling X Corp to make its shareholders public.

Legal Battle Forces Transparency

The disclosure of X Corp’s investors was the result of a prolonged legal battle.

Initially, the company resisted revealing its shareholders, arguing that such information was not pertinent to the case.

However, the court ruled in favor of transparency, emphasizing the public’s right to know who holds financial stakes in one of the world’s most influential social media platforms.
