Crowdaa’s $1.9M Seed Round Paves The Way For Non-Developers To Launch Mobile Apps

Published:

Crowdaa, a French company founded by Vigile Hoareau and Jimmy Thomas, has secured €1.2 million ($1.29M)  in a seed round led by Apicap.

The company aims to make app creation accessible to non-developers, allowing them to release mobile apps quickly.

Initially focusing on music, Crowdaa expanded its services during the pandemic to cater to a broader audience, including sports teams, organizations, and political parties.

This new funding will enable Crowdaa to enhance its technology and embark on an ambitious US expansion.

Innovative Solutions For Content Creators

Crowdaa’s platform allows users to build, deploy, and submit apps to the Apple Store and Google Play with minimal effort.

The recent update includes new features that automate the app-building process, ensuring that apps can be available on Apple’s Testflight within 20 minutes.

This ease of use particularly appeals to professional communities and entertainment sectors, helping them own their data and decide their monetization strategies.

Challenges And Future Plans

Despite the promising outlook, raising funds was a challenging task for Crowdaa.

Hoareau highlighted to TechCrunch the challenges faced as a founder from Réunion, noting that mainland investors often overlook territories like his home island.

He and Thomas had to invest significant time building relationships and expanding their network, eventually leading to successful funding through channels such as the Nvidia Inception program.

With the new capital, Crowdaa plans to strengthen its presence in France and prepare for a US launch.

The company also plans to develop an AI chatbot assistant and aims to collaborate with filmmakers and music labels, bringing their vision full circle.
