HyperionDev Raises $5M To Expand Tech Education In South Africa And The UK –

Published:

HyperionDev, a leading South African startup, has raised R95 million (approximately $5 million) to expand tech education.

This latest financial infusion is part of a broader R595 million ($31.1 million) investment to accelerate the company’s expansion within South Africa and internationally, particularly in the United Kingdom.

Strategic Expansion and Educational Innovation

With the new capital, HyperionDev plans to broaden its reach by entering new markets and increasing tech education accessibility across its platforms.

A portion of the funds will also support the expansion of the HyperionDev Academy and its scholarship programs.

“This marks a new chapter for HyperionDev and highlights the essential role of skills development globally,” said Riaz Moola, the founder and CEO of HyperionDev, according to TechPoint.

The company has also formed partnerships with institutions such as Stellenbosch University, Imperial College London, and the University of Manchester.

Empowering Future Tech Leaders

Since its inception in 2012, HyperionDev has offered specialized, mentored coding boot camps that have prepared over 2,000 graduates for tech careers at major companies like Amazon and Barclays.

The startup’s educational programs are designed to equip students with the skills necessary to thrive in technology-focused roles.

“We are actively seeking to collaborate with more university institutions nationwide and are eager to join forces with the government to strengthen digital skills development and enhance employability across the country,” Moola said.
