Brennan Nevada Inc., reportedly New York’s only Black woman-owned PR and media agency for tech companies, has partnered with SoLo, the US’s largest Black-owned personal finance company.
Building Brennan Nevada Inc
Founded by Brennan Nevada Johnson in 2021, the agency has quickly established itself as a formidable force in the industry.
Johnson, a descendant of Carter G. Woodson, the founder of Black History Month, channels her heritage into her work, emphasizing the promotion of Black and BIPOC stories in the tech world.
Johnson’s background in journalism and experience in a predominantly white, male-dominated tech PR industry led her to recognize the need for a niche agency.
She noticed there needed to be an agency that could represent and understand the unique challenges faced by Black entrepreneurs and tech companies.
Her agency fills this and actively works towards changing the narrative by ensuring that impactful stories and solutions from the Black community gain the visibility they deserve.
“200 years ago, my ancestors couldn’t read or write. It’s safe to say that I’m their wildest dreams as a 32-year-old who owns and operates the only NY Black-female owned agency catered to startups and tech companies,” Johnson told ADWEEK.
The company’s client roster includes Reframe, Mach9, Hero Collective, Hero Media, and GoodFeed.
The Partnership With SoLo
This partnership with SoLo highlights Brennan Nevada Inc.’s commitment to elevating Black-owned businesses and founders.
This collaboration with SoLo is more than just a business arrangement; it’s a representation of a shared vision and commitment to uplifting minority voices in a sector that often overlooks them.
“As I have conversations with Black founders and tech companies around PR and comm, they are relieved to see that Brennan Nevada Inc. exists as they know it’s very difficult to get the results that they need when you don’t have a partner that looks like you.”
