Heex Technologies has completed a seed round of €6 million ($6.5M) to support those in tech to exploit AI’s formidable capabilities while reducing its carbon footprint.
Heex Technologies
Heex Technologies is a startup that accelerates AI development by enabling engineering teams to extract the most value from their data.
Heex provides customers with a platform that allows them to target relevant data and share it with the right users for purposes such as supervision, system monitoring, or continuous software improvement.
Founded in 2019, the startup initially focused on autonomous vehicles.
However, new investments will enable them to expand to adjacent industries as more companies expect to integrate AI and autonomy to increase productivity.
“To continue to exploit the formidable potential of AI and automation, the goal is now to only extract the necessary data rather than accumulate it endlessly; development teams do not need more data, they need better datasets,” said Bruno Mendes Da Silva, Co-founder and CEO of Heex Technologies.
Mendes Da Silva recently announced the completion of their seed round.
The €6M Seed Round
SHIFT Invest and Karista led the seed round, which brought the company’s total financing to nearly €10 million ($10.8M).
“Heex caught our interest because of the huge impact potential on the footprint of data centers, while simultaneously they boost autonomous operations that we see as essential for a low-carbon mobility system,” said Thijs Gitmans, Managing Partner at SHIFT Invest in the press release.
After focusing on Autonomous Mobility with their first pre-seed fund of €3.2 million ($3.4M), the second round will address more industries and ensure they become a leading platform for SmartData processing.
“With a very difficult fundraising environment in 2023, managing to close this deal was made possible only because we have believers behind us,” Da Silva wrote on LinkedIn.
