100+ Silicon Valley Investors Back Harris’ Presidential Bid

Published:

Over 100 prominent venture capitalists (VCs) have thrown their support behind Vice President Kamala Harris for the upcoming presidential election.

Among these supporters are LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, Khosla Ventures’ Vinod Khosla, and billionaire investor Chris Sacca.

Tech Leaders Rally Behind Kamala Harris

The collective, organized under the banner VCsForKamala.org, represents a broad spectrum of tech and business leaders who are advocating for Harris’s vision for America.

Their statement emphasizes a commitment to the American dream, entrepreneurship, and technological progress. They also stress the importance of democracy as a fundamental pillar of the nation.

“We are pro-business, pro-American dream, pro-entrepreneurship and pro-technological progress,” reads the statement on their website.

The group is also soliciting donations and encouraging others to pledge their support for Harris.

The Pushback Against Right-Wing Tech Influence

This initiative is seen as a direct response to the growing influence of right-wing figures in the tech industry.

Notably, high-profile tech moguls like Elon Musk and investors like Marc Andreessen and David Sacks have publicly endorsed former President Donald J. Trump.

This rightward shift, while still a minority viewpoint among tech workers, has gained a significant platform.

“They don’t speak for me, and they don’t speak for most of us. And they don’t speak for the founders,” Leslie Feinzaig, managing director of the venture firm Graham & Walker and a key organizer of VCsForKamala told The Times.

In addition to VCsForKamala, a parallel group called Tech For Kamala has also emerged, garnering over 550 signatures from tech entrepreneurs and workers in just two days.
